Approximately 90 Flights Associated to Jeffrey Epstein Allegedly Landed at or Took Off from UK Airfields
A review has uncovered that approximately 90 flights connected to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein are said to have landed at and took off from British airfields, with some reportedly having onboard women from the UK who assert they were abused by the convicted sex offender.
Aviation Records Reveal Pattern of Travel
The travel manifests were among a trove of court documents and files released by Epstein’s estate that have been made public over the past year. The investigation uncovered 87 flights linked to Epstein – featuring many that were not previously known – coming into or leaving from British airfields between the start of the 1990s and 2018.
Onboard Individuals and After Guilty Verdict Flights
Unidentified women were documented among the passengers travelling into and out of the UK. Notably, 15 of these British airport journeys happened after Epstein’s 2008 conviction for procuring prostitution from a child.
“This is ‘astonishing’ that there had never been a ‘comprehensive British inquiry’ into his dealings in the country,” remarked US lawyers representing numerous Epstein survivors.
UK Survivors and Legal Proceedings
A statement from one of the British victims aided the conviction of Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell of child sex-trafficking in the US in 2021. However, that individual has never been contacted by UK authorities, as stated by her attorney based in Florida.
In a statement, the London's Metropolitan Police said they had “not received any additional information that would support restarting the investigation.” They added, “If new and relevant information be presented to us, encompassing any arising from the disclosure of documents in the US, we will evaluate it.”
Ongoing Document Release and Legal Rulings
Proposed legislation to disclose all files held by the US government in concerning Epstein passed the House and Senate last month. The Department of Justice has until 19 December to adhere to this requirement. Hundreds of thousands of files are projected to be released.
In a related development, a federal judge decided last week that the department could disclose evidence from a trafficking prosecution against Maxwell, Epstein’s close friend, who is serving a 20-year jail term over the allegations.
