American-Palestinian Adolescent Freed Following Nine Months in Israeli Imprisonment

A American-Palestinian youth after completing nine months in Israel's custody absent formal charges was released.
Mohammed Ibrahim had just turned 15 when he was arrested in February within the occupied West Bank, during a family visit while residing in Florida under suspicion of rock throwing toward Israeli settlers, claims he consistently denied.
United States authorities said it welcomed the teenager's freedom.
Currently aged sixteen, was taken to hospital upon gaining freedom, relatives told the media.
Family described him as visibly pale and thin, and is suffering from conditions contracted in captivity.
In a statement, Mohammed's uncle spoke of the family's "immense relief".
The uncle, Zeyad Kadur said the family had been "surviving a terrible, unending nightmare" during the entire detention period.
"At this moment, we are focused on providing Mohammed with urgent medical care he needs after experiencing Israel's abuse and brutal treatment over several months."
US officials said it would continue to provide consular support to the teenager's relatives.
{"US government authorities has no higher priority than the safety and security for United States citizens"," officials stated.
A group of American legislators endorsed a document to US authorities and the White House, requesting additional efforts for his freedom.
Mr Ibrahim, with four children operating an ice cream shop from Florida, previously said Mohammed acknowledged allegations regarding stone throwing because the soldiers beat him.
There were no visits or communicated with his son since February, learning information solely regarding the treatment through judicial records.
Mohammed was held absent formal charges at Ofer detention facility throughout the occupied territory.
Additionally housing grown detainees, some of whom have been convicted for major terrorist activities and murder.
Approximately 350 Palestinian minors in security custody being held in Israeli jails, per correctional service statistics.
Numerous remain uncharged and human rights groups, including UN bodies, report instances of physical abuse and torture.
Following Mohammed's release, Mr Kadur said relatives would persist in advocating for justice for his cousin Sayfollah Musallet.
The 20-year-old dual US citizen per medical officials was beaten to death by radical settlers during a confrontation in July.
During that period, the Israeli military said authorities were looking into reports a Palestinian civilian had been killed.
The two cousins collaborated at their family's ice cream business from Tampa.
No indictments occurred for the cousin's murder.
"We demand United States leadership to safeguard our relatives," the uncle stated.
